COVID-19 Community Impacts

Over the last several weeks, the Board of Directors have been closely monitoring the medical reports and government announcements as they pertain to the Corona Virus (COVID-19). 
After a thorough review of this information, the following adjustments will be made to the day to day operation of the Association:

The Community Center and Village Hall office hours have resumed normal business hours as of June 15th.  In addition to stopping by, if you need to reach out to the Association Staff for anything, please do so by e-mail at or phone at 704-886-2471.

All Playgrounds will reopen on May 18th at 10am
  •  These facilities will not be actively sanitized by the Association.
  • Parents, if your kids would like to use the facility, please bring your own sanitation/cleaning equipment with you.

Tennis Courts will reopen on May 18th at 10am
  • These facilities will not be actively sanitized by the Association.
  • If you would like to use the facility, please bring your own sanitation/cleaning equipment with you.
  • We ask that all users continue to take steps to protect yourself and others.  
  • The tennis courts are used by reservation only.  To reserve the court please visit  Once you select Baxter from the drop down box, you will be asked for a facility code.  The facility code is 1346.

If you have a document, ARC application, or a check to submit, you may do so by placing it in the drop Box located to the left of the Community Center front doors.  Mike and Carrie will be collecting these documents on a periodic basis and will confirm receipt of these if contact information is provided.

All club meetings that use either the Community Center or Village Hall will be canceled through August 30th.

Community Events
  • The Pool Opening Bash has been canceled. 
  • Mike Martoccia, Baxter’s activity director, is looking into alternative options for a pool event later on in the summer.
  • The May 23rd Music in the Park has been postponed to later this summer
  • The June 20th Father-Daughter Tea has been converted to a Family Scavenger Hunt, featuring an App for participants to post their hunt findings on and replacing the on-site event. The scavenger hunt will feature 20 items found in Baxter Village and throughout the trails system and the surrounding area. It will feature prizes for families and all ages can participate. To register, just e-mail May 31-June 13. Send us the family name, address and ages of the kids, and we'll get you reserved and forward you the scavenger hunt app, items and rules.
  • The June 20th  Music in the Park events has been postponed.
  • The July 4th Parade is still on, but pending revisions to the format according to whatever SCDHEC guidelines are in place at the time.

The Pools are no longer under a reservation system. 
Admittance into the pool is on a first come first serve basis.
The current capacity limit for the Community Center Pool is 134 patrons, and for Village Hall Pool is 100 patrons.
There are currently no guests allowed at Village Hall pool
·         If you are renting a home in Baxter, you must have the homeowner reach out to the on-site staff to grant their pool privileges to you.
The current Guest policy for the Community Center pool is as follows :
  • Residents can bring up to 2 guests Monday - Friday.
  • No Guests are allowed on the weekends.
All community pool furniture will not be available for use.  Residents may bring their own pool furniture so long as it is removed when they leave.  Furniture left at the pool will be discarded.
You may only enter the pool via the front guard house.  Entry from any other point could result in suspension of pool privileges
6 feet of distance should always be maintained by groups who do not live in the same household.
We ask that if you have cleaning wipes and hand sanitizer, that you always have it in your possession and use frequently.  While we will supply soap and sanitizer, we cannot guarantee these will be available everyday pending usage, availability, etc.
